As part of the renovation of a downtown business, KDM Menuiserie created a new custom wooden storefront. This project meets the architectural constraints of a historic district, where wood was naturally required to preserve the building's identity.

Our teams manufactured and installed a complete wooden storefront set, including the entrance door and fixed glazed sections. Each piece was custom-made to comply with the existing dimensions and the aesthetic requirements of the project.

The intervention includes a glazed entrance door and matching fixed frames, forming a cohesive storefront. The entire assembly was designed to optimize the shop's natural light while ensuring safety, comfort, and durability.
The joinery is made of wood, a material perfectly suited to character buildings. Combined with high-performance insulating glazing, it improves thermal and acoustic comfort while preserving the authenticity of the facade.

The renovation took place within a protected architectural environment requiring the seamless integration of the new joinery. The works were custom-made to respect the proportions, lines, and character of the building, while delivering the expected performance in terms of insulation and comfort.

This project illustrates the expertise of KDM Menuiserie in the renovation of businesses in historic city centers, where precision, manufacturing quality, and respect for heritage are essential.
