As part of the restoration of a historic property in Isère, KDM Menuiserie fabricated and installed custom wood swing shutters and a traditional carriage-style barn door. Each component was carefully designed to respect the existing architecture and preserve the authentic character of the historic building.

Our teams manufactured and installed wood shutters and a custom door faithfully reproducing the characteristics and appearance of the original elements. Each piece was made to measure to match the dimensions and specific features of the existing openings.

The project included replacing the existing door and swing shutters with custom-fabricated wood components, complete with appropriate traditional hardware and finishes selected to maintain the original architectural style.
The shutters and door were crafted from wood, a traditional material particularly well suited to historic preservation projects. It provides excellent durability, high-quality finishes, and seamless integration with the original structure.

Restoring a historic building requires careful attention to the original dimensions, shapes, proportions, and architectural details. Each component was custom-made to fit precisely within the existing stone openings while ensuring reliable operation and long-term durability.

This project highlights KDM Menuiserie’s expertise in historic preservation and restoration, combining traditional craftsmanship, custom fabrication, architectural authenticity, and long-lasting quality.
