As part of the renovation of a traditional stone house, KDM Menuiserie supplied and installed custom aluminum windows and exterior glazing systems. The project was designed to modernize the home while respecting its original architecture, using large glazed areas to bring in natural light while improving thermal comfort and energy efficiency.

All windows and doors were custom-made to integrate seamlessly with the existing openings. Slim aluminum profiles, carefully selected finishes, and precise installation preserve the authentic character of the stone facade while adding a contemporary touch.

The project included the installation of a large-format sliding glass door and several custom aluminum windows. These systems create a stronger connection between the interior and outdoor spaces, maximize natural light, and provide excellent insulation.
The aluminum systems feature solar control double glazing, designed to reduce solar heat gain while maintaining excellent natural light. This solution provides greater indoor comfort, particularly during the summer months, while improving the home’s overall energy performance.

Integrating new windows and doors into an existing stone facade required precise field measurements and installation to respect the original openings and stonework. The combination of slim aluminum profiles and solar control glazing provides a balance of architectural design, summer comfort, and high thermal performance.

This project demonstrates KDM Menuiserie’s expertise in renovating character and heritage properties, combining custom aluminum windows and doors, modern comfort, and seamless architectural integration.
